브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차는 지난 28일 현대캐피탈 및 제주특별자치도렌터카조합과 제주 지역 렌터카 산업의 경쟁력 강화를 위한 지원 협약을 체결했다고 29일 밝혔다.
이날 현대차 제주지역본부에서 진행된 협약식에는 현대차 국내판매사업부장 김승찬 전무, 현대캐피탈 Auto본부장 심장수 전무, 제주특별자치도렌터카조합 강동훈 이사장 등이 참석했다.
이번 협약을 통해 현대차는 현대캐피탈과 함께 개발한 렌터카 특화 잔가 보장형 금융상품을 제주 지역 렌터카 업체에 제공해 렌터카 업체의 신차 구매 및 운영 부담을 실질적으로 완화하고 제주 렌터카 시장의 활성화를 도모할 계획이다.
해당 금융상품은 제주특별자치도렌터카조합 소속 업체를 대상으로 하며, 현대차는 현대인증중고차 사업과 연계해 일정 기준을 충족한 경우 차량 매각 시 신차 구매가의 최대 65%까지 중고차 가격을 보장한다.
특히, 현대차는 렌터카의 연간 주행거리 기준을 업계 최고 수준인 3만 5천km까지 설정해 렌터카 업체의 차량 운용 유연성을 높였다.
할부 금리의 경우 현대차는 현대캐피탈과 함께 24/36/48개월 기준 기존 대비 0.2~0.4%p 인하함으로써 렌터카 업체의 신차 구매에 대한 금융 부담을 낮춘다. 이에 따라 렌터카 업체는 차량 운용의 효율성 향상과 함께 수익을 조기에 확보할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.
