인천AI융합교육원, 전국과학교육원장협의회 개최

(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청AI융합교육원이 지난 29일 ‘2025년 하반기 전국과학교육원장협의회’를 열고 AI 융합교육(STEAM) 확산, 교원 전문성 강화, 과학관 프로그램 내실화 등 주요 현안을 논의했다고 밝혔다.

AI융합교육원에 따르면, 이날 협의회에는 전국 17개 시·도 과학교육원장과 업무담당자 등 약 100명이 참석했으며, 개회식을 시작으로 우수사례 발표, 기관장 및 담당자 협의회, 기관·시설 견학 등이 진행됐다.

우수사례 발표에서는 경상남도교육청과학교육원이 지역 과학문화 확산과 교원 연수, 이동과학관 운영 사례를 공유했으며, 이어 참석자들은 과학대회 운영 고도화, 전시·체험 프로그램 설계, 디지털 평가체계 구축 등 실무 중심의 안건을 논의했다.

오후에는 국립인천해양박물관을 방문해 해양과학교육 협력 방안을 모색하고, 인천AI융합교육센터에서 인천형 AI 융합 과학탐구 수업 모델과 교원 연수 체계를 살펴봤다

AI융합교육원 관계자는 “기관장과 담당자 협의를 병행해 논의의 밀도를 높였다”며 “과학관 체험과 학교 수업, 교원 연수가 유기적으로 연결되는 체계를 마련하겠다”고 말했다.

인천AI융합교육원은 이번 협의회를 계기로 시·도 과학교육원 간 협력 강화와 교원 연수·과학관 체험 연계 확대, 그리고 우수사례의 공동 개발·공유를 통한 과학교육 생태계 구축을 추진할 계획이다.
