세종시가 30∼31일 서울 그랜드 인터컨티넨탈 파르나스 호텔에서 열리는 ‘인베스트코리아 써밋 2025’에 참가해 국제 투자유치에 나선다.
시에 따르면 ‘인베스트코리아 써밋’은 산업통상자원부가 주최하고 코트라(KOTRA)가 주관하는 국내 최대 규모 외국인투자 유치 행사다.
이날 행사에는 세계 주요 투자자, 외신, 외교사절, 지자체 관계자 등 2,000여 명이 참석할 예정이다.
시는 이번 행사 기간 홍보부스를 운영해 ▲스마트 국가산업단지 ▲기회발전특구 ▲경제자유구역 등 지역 핵심 투자 거점과 도시 전략산업 육성기반, 혜택 등을 종합적으로 홍보한다.
이를 통해 인공지능(AI), 바이오, 모빌리티 등 미래 전략산업 중심의 첨단 산업도시로서 위상을 강화하고 국제투자 유치를 본격화한다는 계획이다.
특히 스마트 국가산단 조성 및 경제자유구역 지정 등 성장 기반 마련에 따라 해외 투자자와의 협력 기반을 확대하고 세종시의 산업 경쟁력을 높이는 데 집중한다는 방침이다.
이승원 경제부시장은 “이번 인베스트코리아 써밋은 세종시가 투자지로서 가진 매력을 전 세계에 알리는 중요한 기회”라며 “세종시가 국가 미래전략산업 거점으로 도약할 수 있도록 외국인 투자기업 유치에 총력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
