【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청이 오는 11월 1일 대구세계시민교육센터에서 ‘세계를 잇다, 미래를 함께하다’를 주제로 ‘2025 세계문화축제 어울림 한마당’을 연다.
이번 행사는 다양한 세계 문화 체험을 통해 다문화 감수성을 높이고, 세계시민으로서의 공감과 이해를 넓히기 위한 취지로 마련됐다.
올해 축제에는 학생, 학부모, 교직원 등 500여 명이 온·오프라인으로 참여한다. 온라인에서는 지난 10월 13일부터 30일까지 세계문화를 주제로 쇼츠, 카드뉴스, 포스터, 네컷만화 등을 공모한 ‘크리에이티브 Festa’가 진행됐다. 이와 함께 10월 30일부터는 이주배경학생과 학부모를 위한 연수 프로그램 ‘다가온 Festa’가 센터 유튜브 채널을 통해 운영되고 있다.
11월 1일 오프라인 행사장에서는 세계의 의상, 놀이, 공예, 음식, 음악, 다도 등을 직접 체험할 수 있는 ‘익스플로어 Festa’, 그리고 지속가능한 삶을 배우는 ‘함께하는 미래 Festa’ 등 다양한 프로그램이 마련된다.
무대 행사로는 글로벌국악단 공연, 이중언어 말하기, 세계시민 뮤지컬 등으로 구성된 ‘하나의 울림, 세계를 잇다’가 펼쳐져, 문화 다양성과 조화의 의미를 전할 예정이다.
이와 함께 경북대학교 국제학생회(ISO)와 함께하는 ‘캠퍼스 글로벌 체험존’도 운영된다. 이곳에서는 외국인 유학생들이 이주배경학생들과 교류하며 국내 적응 멘토링과 진학 상담 등 실질적인 진로 탐색과 진학 지원 활동을 펼칠 계획이다.
강은희 대구시교육감은 “이번 축제가 교육공동체가 세계문화를 경험하며 서로의 다름을 존중하는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 다양성과 공존의 가치를 실천하는 세계시민교육을 꾸준히 확산해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education will host the "2025 World Culture Festival: Harmony" on November 1st at the Daegu Global Citizenship Education Center, under the theme "Connecting the World, Sharing the Future."

This year's festival will be attended by approximately 500 students, parents, and faculty members, both online and offline. The stage event, "One Sound, Connecting the World," will feature performances by a global Korean traditional music group, bilingual speaking engagements, and a global citizen musical, emphasizing the importance of cultural diversity and harmony.
Furthermore, the "Campus Global Experience Zone," co-hosted with Kyungpook National University's International Student Association (ISO), will provide practical career exploration and academic support, including mentoring for international students adjusting to life in Korea and career counseling.
Daegu Metropolitan Superintendent of Education Kang Eun-hee stated, "I hope this festival will serve as an opportunity for the educational community to experience global cultures and respect each other's differences. We will continue to promote global citizenship education that embodies the values of diversity and coexistence."
