파주문화재단이 주관한 2025년 제7회 운정호수공원 불꽃축제 ‘희망의 빛’이 지난 11월 1일 가을밤 하늘을 수놓으며 성황리에 막을 내렸다.

이날 오후 2시부터 시작된 사전 프로그램에서는 시민과 함께하는 다채로운 문화공연과 체험부스가 운영됐다.
파주시 지역예술단체의 공연을 비롯해 뮤지컬 배우 서범석과 박소연이 참여한 ‘잔디 위의 아티스트(프린지 공연)’가 관객의 큰 호응을 얻으며 축제의 열기를 더했다.
운정신도시연합회, 파주맘, 파주시청소년재단, 의용소방대 등 지역 단체가 참여한 체험부스도 큰 인기를 끌었다.
야광팔찌·풍선 나눔, 리사이클 체험, 친환경 도어벨 만들기, CPR 체험 등 시민이 직접 참여할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램이 마련돼 온 세대가 함께 즐길 수 있는 시간을 선사했다.
이어 오후 7시부터 열린 개막식에는 김경일 파주시장을 비롯한 내빈과 시민이 참석해 가을밤 하늘을 밝히는 불꽃쇼의 시작을 함께했다.
‘희망의 빛’을 주제로 펼쳐진 이번 불꽃쇼는 최대 200m 상공까지 불꽃이 치솟으며 공원 전역에서 관람이 가능하도록 연출돼 관람객들에게 한층 웅장하고 감동적인 장관을 선사했으며 음악과 불빛이 어우러진 화려한 연출에 시민들은 환호와 박수로 화답했다.
불꽃쇼 종료 후에는 운정호수공원 일대를 환하게 밝히는 ‘불빛정원’ 점등식이 이어졌다.
운정과 우주를 주제로 한 작품들이 전시되는 불빛정원은 오는 2026년 1월 31일까지 매일 오후 5시부터 10시까지 운영돼 시민들에게 낭만적인 야경을 선사할 예정이다.
파주문화재단은 안전한 축제 운영을 위해 ‘불꽃축제 TF팀’을 구성하고 파주경찰서, 파주소방서 등 유관기관과 협력해왔다.
또한 안전대책 회의와 현장 합동점검을 여러 차례 실시했으며, 자율방범대와 모범운전자회 등 약 300여 명의 인력을 배치해 관람객 동선 관리와 사고 예방에 만전을 기했다.
