[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시와 부산기술창업투자원은 지난 달 29일부터 31일까지 싱가포르에서 열린 SWITCH 2025 전시회에 참가해 지역 신생기업(스타트업)의 글로벌 진출과 투자유치에 중요한 발판을 마련했다고 밝혔다.
SWITCH는 싱가포르를 대표하는 스타트업 전시회로, 전 세계 혁신 기술 기업과 투자자들이 모이는 연례 행사다. 이번에 부산시는 부산기술창업투자원과 함께 지역 유망 신생기업 7개 사와 시 대표단을 꾸려 참가했다.
참가한 7개사는 K-Startup 통합관에서 활동하며, ▲프보이㈜(중장비 충돌 방지 AI 솔루션) ▲코코넛사일로㈜(AI 기반 물류 라우팅 플랫폼) ▲㈜링크플릭스(고기능성 생분해 고분자 접착제) ▲㈜씨아이티(반도체 패키징용 구리증착기술) ▲㈜만만한녀석들(지속가능한 전시 솔루션) ▲㈜코아이(해양 청소 로봇 장비) ▲㈜마리나체인(선박 탄소 배출 관리 플랫폼서비스)로 구성됐다.
부산시는 글로벌 경쟁력 강화를 위해 창업진흥원과 협력하여 사전 교육, 전문 컨설팅, 비즈매칭, 현지 창업지원기관 탐방 프로그램 등을 제공하며 참가기업의 역량 강화를 지원했다.
성과와 투자 동향
7개 사는 총구매자 상담 87건, 투자 상담 57건 이상을 기록했다. 특히 ㈜씨아이티는 3건, 약 600만 싱가포르달러 상당의 투자 유치 절차가 진행 중이며, ㈜링크플릭스는 캐나다 친환경 위생용품 기업과 기술 검증 협약을 체결했다.
㈜마리나체인과 ㈜코아이는 각각 카타르 해운 플랫폼 기업과 에스토니아 해양기술기업과 협약을 맺어 글로벌 투자 및 협력 가능성을 넓혔다.
현지 네트워킹 및 협력 강화
대표단은 전시 기간 중 싱가포르 정부 산하 기술 육성기관 SG Innovate, 주관기관 Enterprise Singapore, 싱가포르 경영대(SMU) 등과 협력 방안을 논의하고, 해외 인재 직무 실습 계획과 성과도 점검했다.
또한 아시아 및 글로벌 대형 투자사들과 면담하며 지역 스타트업의 해외 시장 진출 기회와 투자 유치 가능성을 적극 모색했다.
부산시는 “부산의 기술 경쟁력과 창의성을 갖춘 기업들이 세계 시장에서 도약할 수 있도록 아시아 주요 창업 도시들과 협력과 네트워크를 강화해 실질적인 성과를 내겠다”고 밝혔다.
이와 같이 시는 이번 SWITCH 2025 참가를 통해 지역 신생기업의 글로벌 진출과 투자 유치를 위한 실질적 기반을 마련했다고 평가했다.

Busan City and Busan Technology Startup Investment Foundation announced that they participated in the SWITCH 2025 exhibition held in Singapore from October 29 to 31, successfully laying an important foundation for attracting investment and advancing local companies into the global market.
SWITCH is Singapore’s premier startup exhibition that annually gathers innovative technology companies and investors from around the world. This year, the city government, Busan Technology Startup Investment Foundation, and seven promising local startups participated as representatives of Busan.
This participation was part of the city’s “Global Exchange and Investment Attraction Support Project” aimed at strengthening the global competitiveness of local startups and providing a foothold for overseas market entry. Busan supported the participating companies with a range of preparatory programs to help them succeed globally.
In collaboration with the Korea Startup Promotion Agency, the city provided pre-event training, expert consulting, and business matching opportunities. During the exhibition, various programs including visits to local startup support institutions were offered to expand real investment opportunities.
The seven promising local startups presented their businesses under the K-Startup integrated booth. These startups were: ProBoy Co., Ltd. (AI collision prevention solution for heavy equipment); Coconut Silo Co., Ltd. (AI-based logistics routing platform); LinkFlix Co., Ltd. (high-performance biodegradable polymer adhesive); CIT Co., Ltd. (copper plating technology for semiconductor packaging); Manmanhan Guys Co., Ltd. (sustainable exhibition solutions); Koai Co., Ltd. (marine cleaning robot equipment); and Marina Chain Co., Ltd. (ship carbon emission management platform service).
During the exhibition, these seven companies conducted over 87 buyer consultations and more than 57 investment discussions. Notably, CIT is currently in the process of securing investments exceeding 6 million Singapore dollars from three deals, while LinkFlix signed a proof-of-concept agreement with a Canadian eco-friendly hygiene product company.
Marina Chain and Koai also signed agreements with a Qatari shipping platform company and an Estonian marine technology firm, respectively, drawing global interest likely to lead to further investments.
The Busan delegation also engaged in meetings with major Singapore startup ecosystem institutions and global investors, focusing on expanding overseas market entry and investment opportunities for local startups.
They met with SG Innovate, Singapore’s deep tech promotion agency, and Enterprise Singapore, the main organizer of SWITCH, to explore cooperation plans. Discussions were also held with the Singapore Management University about the performance and plans for global internship programs for international talent.
Additionally, the delegation held talks with major Asian and global investment firms to assess the potential for follow-up investments in promising local startups.
Busan City stated, “We will actively support our companies with technological capabilities and creativity to leap forward in the global market by strengthening cooperation and expanding networks with major Asian startup cities, ensuring they achieve tangible results.”
Through participation in SWITCH 2025, Busan has thus taken a significant step in fostering the global growth and investment attraction of its startup ecosystem.
