(광주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=광주광역시에서는 오는 6일부터 10일까지 닷새간 광주극장, CGV금남로, 광주독립영화관에서 '제16회 광주여성영화제'를 개최한다.
올해 영화제는 '우리는 빛으로'를 주제로 선정하여, 배제와 차별의 어둠 속에서도 서로를 비추며 연대한 여성 및 소수자들의 이야기를 담은 영화 56편(장편 23편, 단편 33편)을 상영한다.
이번 영화제는 신진 감독들의 작품을 소개하는 '귄 당선작'(20편, 올해 장편까지 확대), 광주 여성감독 및 여성 서사를 발굴하는 '메이드 인 광주'(4편), 인도네시아 여성감독 작품으로 구성된 '발리국제단편영화제 교류전'(5편), 아시아 국가 여성·소수자 현실을 반영한 '플래시 아시아'(4편) 등 다채로운 섹션으로 구성된다.
