【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구가 식품접객업소를 대상으로 추진한 '위생등급제 지정 컨설팅 지원사업'이 2년 연속 성과를 내고 있다.
중구는 일반음식점, 휴게음식점, 제과점을 대상으로 1:1 맞춤형 현장 컨설팅을 실시해 업체별 위생 상태 점검과 개선 방향 안내, 위생 관리 교육 등을 진행했다.
특히, 까다로운 평가 기준으로 위생등급제 신청을 망설이던 업소들의 문턱을 낮추는 데 주안점을 뒀다.
올해에는 컨설팅을 받은 20개 업소 모두가 위생등급을 취득했다. 이 가운데 19곳이 ‘매우 우수’, 1곳이 ‘우수’ 등급을 받은 것으로 나타났다.
또한 ‘더현대 대구’에 입점한 45개 음식점도 위생등급을 받아 해당 매장이 위생등급 특화구역으로 자리매김하게 됐다.
중구청은 앞으로도 위생등급제 참여를 확대하고, 사후관리 지원을 지속할 방침이다.
류규하 중구청장은 “영업주가 스스로 위생 수준을 점검하고 관리하는 역량을 키운 것이 가장 큰 성과”라며 “앞으로도 안전하고 신뢰받을 수 있는 외식 환경 조성을 위해 계속 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
