【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항상공회의소(회장 나주영)는 11월 4일 오후 4시 포항상공회의소 2층 회의실에서 상공의원, 회원사 대표 및 임원 등이 참석한 가운데 '트럼프 2기 행정부와 국제정세'를 주제로 한 경제아카데미 3주차 강의를 개최했다.

이날 강의는 국립외교원 미주연구부 민정훈 교수를 초청해 진행됐다. 민 교수는 미국 오클라호마주 노스이스턴 주립대학교 정치학과 교수, 국방부 정책자문위원, 한국아메리카학회 편집이사 등을 역임한 미국 및 국제정치 분야 전문가다.
민 교수는 강연에서 “트럼프 1기 행정부가 관세를 중심으로 무역수지 적자 해소에 초점을 맞췄다면, 2기에는 첨단기술과 핵심 분야의 공급망 재편을 통한 제조업 부흥 전략이 추가될 것”이라고 분석했다.
그는 트럼프 2기 행정부의 경제성장 전략을 △글로벌 무역 재협상 △감세 △규제완화의 3단계로 요약하며, “특히 규제완화의 핵심은 에너지 주도권 확립이며, 이는 미국 산업 전반의 재활성화를 촉진할 것”이라고 설명했다.
또한 민 교수는 “트럼프 2기에서는 보다 공세적인 대중국 경제정책이 전개될 것으로 보인다”며 “2차 미중 무역협상과 선택적 디커플링(탈동조화)이 미중관계의 핵심이 될 것”이라고 전망했다. 아울러 “한미동맹의 내구성은 유지되겠지만, ‘거래 중심 동맹관’과 ‘미국우선 통상정책 2.0’에 기초한 새로운 형태의 한미 관계가 형성될 것”이라고 내다봤다.
한편, 제16회 포항경제아카데미의 마지막 강의는 오는 11월 11일 오후 4시, 조용민 언바운드랩데브 대표를 초청해 ‘AI 시대, 혁신이 성과로 이어지는 실질적 방법론’을 주제로 진행될 예정이다.
