【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 괴산군은 6일 괴산유기농엑스포광장 일원에서 ‘2025괴산김장축제’의 화려한 막을 올렸다.
올해 축제는 ‘세상의 모든 김치, 모닥불 Party’를 주제로 전통 김장문화에 캠핑 감성과 야외 모닥불 체험을 접목해 관람객에게 색다른 즐거움을 선사할 예정이다.
축제 대표 프로그램인 ‘원스톱 김장담그기’와 ‘드라이브스루 김장’은 1,001팀(일반 791팀, 친환경 210팀) 규모로 사전 접수에서 조기 마감됐으며, 참가자에게는 절임배추 10㎏당 괴산사랑상품권 5천 원이 제공된다.
사전 예약을 놓친 방문객은 현장에서 즉석 김장체험을 할 수 있다. 체험 가격은 절임배추 20㎏+속재료 7.5㎏ 기준 14만8천 원, 10㎏+3.8㎏ 기준 7만6천 원이다.
올해 축제는 기존 3일에서 4일로 기간을 연장했으며, 가장 큰 변화는 ‘구워먹기 체험존’ 확대와 ‘대한민국 김장명인 대회’의 신설이다.
기존 문화체육센터 옆 모닥불 체험존 외에 동진천변에 ‘야생 대형꼬치 체험존’이 추가 운영되며, 먹거리 콘텐츠가 더욱 풍성해졌다.
또한, 현대자동차그룹의 사회공헌 서비스 ‘휠셰어(WheelShare)’가 처음 도입돼 이동이 불편한 관람객의 접근성을 높였다.
이외에도 K-김치마켓, 이하연 명인과 함께하는 ‘명품김장 체험’, 진지박물관 김정희 원장의 ‘김치 스토리 역사관’ 등 김치와 김장을 주제로 한 다채로운 부대행사가 마련됐다.
