브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 한국마사회 말박물관이 말(馬) 문화 확산과 예술 지원을 위해 오는 28일까지 ‘2026년 말박물관 초대전 작가’를 모집한다.
말박물관 초대작가전은 2009년 시작된 이후 현재까지 총 145명의 작가가 참여한 대표적인 공모전으로, 말(馬)을 예술로 표현하는 작가들의 등용문으로 자리매김했다.
이번 공모는 말(馬)을 소재로 창작 활동을 펼치는 작가를 발굴하고 소개하기 위해 진행됐다. 개인 또는 단체 누구나 지원할 수 있다. 특히, 만 40세 미만의 청년작가와 박물관 소재지인 과천 지역 예술가에게는 가산점이 부여된다.
선정된 작가에게는 약 6주간의 전시 공간(기획전시실)이 무상으로 제공되며, 리플렛·배너 등 인쇄물 제작과 SNS 홍보 이벤트 등 다양한 홍보 지원이 이뤄진다. 작품 운송 등에 필요한 지원금 70만 원이 별도로 지급된다.
공모 요강과 접수 방법은 한국마사회 홈페이지 공지사항에서 확인할 수 있으며, 지원서는 이메일로 제출하면 된다. 접수 기한은 오는 28일 17시까지이며, 심사 결과는 30일 14시 한국마사회 홈페이지를 통해 발표된다.
