충남 서산시가 영유아를 위한 지역밀착형 교육을 본격 추진한다.
이를 위해 서산시는 7일 서산시평생학습관 배움3실에서 관내 어린이집 원장 및 교직원 20여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘서산형 어린이집 지역특화 연계교육 지원 프로그램 설명회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 설명회는 서산교육발전특구 사업의 일환으로, 지역 자원을 기반으로 한 교육 방향을 공유하고 어린이집의 참여를 독려하기 위해 마련됐다.
‘서산형 어린이집 지역특화 연계교육’은 지역 산업·문화·생태자원을 체험 중심으로 접목한 프로그램으로, 유아 단계부터 지역의 정체성과 자긍심을 높이는 것을 목표로 한다. 특히 어린이집이 자율적으로 드론, 스마트팜, 가로림만 등 서산만의 특성을 반영한 프로그램을 운영할 수 있도록 시에서 보조금을 지원할 계획이다.
서산시는 20여 개 어린이집을 선정해 기관당 최대 100만 원을 지원할 예정이며, 선정된 기관은 지역 특화 프로그램을 자체적으로 기획·운영하게 된다.
또한 어린이집을 대상으로 지역 교재 ‘하늘을 나는 드론택시! 백구를 찾다’를 활용한 샌드아트 공연도 지원한다. 해당 공연은 오는 2026년 1월까지 총 15회 진행되며, 어린이집 방문형과 대관형으로 병행 운영된다.
