브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 대우건설은 지난 8일 서울 마포구 중동 78번지 모아타운의 시공사로 최종 선정됐다고 10일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 서울 마포구 중동 78번지 일대에 지하 4층에서 지상 최고 35층, 6개 동, 총 543세대 및 부대복리시설을 건설하는 프로젝트다. 총 공사금액은 1982억 원(VAT 별도)이다.
모아타운은 소규모주택정비 관리지역을 뜻하며, 모아타운 사업은 재개발이 어려운 저층주거지의 새로운 정비방식으로 사업요건 및 건축규제 완화를 통한 사업여건 개선을 기대할 수 있다.
중동78번지 일대는 2022년 10월 서울시 모아타운 대상지로 선정된 후, 지난 4월 모아타운 관리계획 승인을 받았으며, 사업ㆍ건축 요건 완화, 용적률 인센티브 부여, 행정절차 간소화 등 서울시의 적극적인 정책지원에 힘입어 빠른 속도로 사업을 추진 중이다.
대우건설은 마포 중동 78번지 일원에 ‘마포 푸르지오 센트럴 로열(MAPO PRUGIO CENTRAL ROYAL)’이라는 단지명을 제안했다. 단지명은 모든 인프라를 갖춘 주거 중심지를 뜻하는 ‘센트럴(Central)’과 국왕‧왕족을 상징해 고귀하고 품격 있는 라이프스타일을 담은 ‘로열(Royal)’을 조합해 단지를 마포 중심 입지에 걸맞은 새로운 랜드마크로 만들겠다는 대우건설의 의지를 담았다.
대우건설 관계자는 “마포 푸르지오 센트럴 로열은 DMC 핵심 입지와 품격 있는 설계가 결합된 마포의 새로운 프리미엄 주거 랜드마크가 될 것”이라며 “대우건설만의 차별화된 기술력과 브랜드 가치를 바탕으로 지역의 주거 수준을 한층 더 끌어올리겠다”고 말했다.
