이번 워크숍은 도내 176개 지구대와 파출소를 이끄는 지역경찰관서장들이 모두 참석하여, 상반기 지역경찰 활동 성과를 면밀히 되돌아보고 변화하는 치안 환경에 맞춰 하반기 운영 방향과 전략을 논의하는 중요한 자리였다.
김종철 청장은 이날 인사말에서 “경남경찰청 부임 이후 지역경찰이 보여준 헌신과 변화의 노력이 매우 인상 깊었다”며, 특히 “4조 2교대 근무체계 전면 개편, 중심관서 운영, 교육센터 설립 등은 현장경찰과의 협업으로 이루어낸 값진 성과”라고 평가했다.
