【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 남구가 지방자치 30주년을 맞아 주민들과 소통하는 자리를 마련했다.
남구(구청장 조재구)는 지난 7일 남구청 드림피아홀에서 주민 200여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘2025 찾아가는 지방시대 토크’를 성공적으로 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이 행사는 대구시와 남구가 공동으로 준비한 것으로, 지역이 주도하는 지방시대의 비전과 정책 방향을 주민들과 공유하고 새롭게 추진되는 주요 사업들을 소개하기 위해 마련됐다.
현장에서는 복화술 문화공연으로 분위기를 띄웠고, 이어 김중석 대통령직속 지방시대위원회 위원이 특강을 진행했다.
김 위원은 주민자치 중심의 지방시대 중요성과 새 정부의 자치분권 및 균형성장 정책, 지방분권 개헌 등 다소 어려운 주제들을 쉽게 풀어 설명해 참석자들의 큰 공감을 얻었다.
조재구 남구청장은 “지방자치 30주년의 성과를 넘어, 앞으로는 지역이 스스로 자율성과 권한을 갖고 성장하는 진정한 지방시대를 만들어가야 한다”며 “남구 역시 주민과 함께 지역 경쟁력을 높이고, 주민이 정책의 주인공이 되는 시대를 실현하겠다”고 말했다.
