【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 수성구(구청장 김대권)는 지난 8일 ‘2025 외국인과 함께하는 헬로 수성Day’ 두 번째 행사를 열었다고 10일 밝혔다.
이날 행사에는 수성구 지역 초등학생 9명과 다문화가정 학생, 그리고 주한미군 캠프워커 CYS(Child and Youth Services) 소속 학생 10명이 참여했다.
들안예술마을 꿈꾸는예술터와 한국전통문화체험관에서 진행된 행사에서 학생들은 ‘뚜비 커피박 키링 만들기’ 공예 체험과 더불어 한복 입기, 다례 체험, 김밥 만들기 등 다양한 한국 전통문화와 음식을 함께 체험했다. 문화 체험 활동을 통해 학생들은 자연스럽게 교류의 시간을 가졌다.
참여 학생들은 “미군부대 친구들과 함께한 시간이 무척 색다르고 의미 있었다”고 소감을 전했다. 특히 수성구 공식 캐릭터인 ‘뚜비’를 활용한 공예 체험이 학생들에게 가장 큰 인상을 남겼다는 평가다.
수성구 관계자는 “이번 행사를 통해 청소년들이 글로벌 경험을 쌓고 서로 다른 문화를 이해하는 폭이 넓어졌다”며 “앞으로도 미군부대와 지속적으로 협력해 다양한 교육 프로그램을 확대해나갈 계획”이라고 말했다.

These cultural experiences fostered a natural exchange between students.
Participating students commented, "The time spent with friends from the US military base was truly unique and meaningful." The craft experience utilizing "Ddubi," the official mascot of Suseong District, was particularly memorable.
A Suseong-gu official said, “Through this event, young people gained global experience and broadened their understanding of different cultures,” and added, “We plan to continue to cooperate with the U.S. military base to expand various educational programs in the future.”
