올해 축제는 ‘토이랜드 캐롤 셀러브레이션’을 주제로, 크리스마스 장난감 가게 속 장난감들이 만들어내는 따뜻하고 유쾌한 크리스마스 분위기를 느낄 수 있을 전망이다.
개막일인 15일에는 산타와 토이들이 함께하는 점등식 ‘라이츠업! 더 셀러브레이션 비긴즈’와 83타워에서 펼쳐지는 불꽃쇼 ‘카운팅 인더 스타즈’가 예정돼 있어, 이월드 30주년의 마지막을 화려하게 장식할 예정이다.
축제 기간에는 매주 토요일과 일요일, 그리고 12월 24~25일에 ‘비비의 크리스마스 모먼트’, ‘라라의 미라클 포토타임’, ‘토이랜드 캐롤 셀러브레이션’ 등 가족이 함께할 수 있는 다양한 공연과 포토타임이 진행된다. 특히 관객이 직접 참여하는 캐롤 공연은 아이부터 어른까지 모두 즐길 수 있는 프로그램으로 마련된다.
파크 전체는 크리스마스 콘셉트의 일루미네이션으로 꾸며진다. 중앙광장, 하트광장, 판타지로드, 다이나믹힐 등 주요 명소마다 포토스팟이 조성돼, 방문객들이 추억을 남기며 축제의 분위기를 만끽할 수 있다.

이월드 관계자는 “이번 일루미네이션 축제는 시민 누구나 빛과 공연을 즐기며, 따뜻한 크리스마스와 연말을 보내시길 바라는 마음으로 준비했다. 수험생은 물론 가족과 친구 등 모두가 함께 즐길 수 있는 축제의 장이 될 것”이라고 말했다.
