【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청이 대구농업마이스터고등학교 교사동을 미래 농업 산업에 최적화된 전문 교육공간으로 전면 리모델링한다.
11일 교육청에 따르면 이번 사업은 1981년 준공된 노후 교사동을 새로운 교육 수요에 맞게 개선하는 것으로, 총 158억 원을 투입해 연면적 8,752.7㎡ 규모로 재구성할 계획이다.
특히 전교생이 기숙사 생활을 하는 학교 특성을 반영해 교사동과 생활공간을 유기적으로 연결한 설계가 적용된다. 설계는 학생과 교직원이 참여한 사전 기획안을 바탕으로 공모 방식으로 진행됐으며, 단순 시설 교체를 넘어 미래형 실습실, 기숙사 정원, 지역사회와 연계되는 환영 공간, 중앙정원 등 내부와 외부 모두 특화된 공간이 포함됐다.
설계는 2026년 3월까지 완료될 예정이며, 전국영농학생축제(2026 FFK 대구대회) 이후인 같은 해 9월에 공사에 들어간다. 준공 목표 시점은 2027년 8월이다.
강은희 교육감은 “이번 공간 재구조화로 농업 특성화 교육에 최적화된 환경을 마련하겠다”며 “대구농업마이스터고가 미래 농업 인재 양성의 핵심 거점으로 자리잡을 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.
