【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청이 교육부와 한국교육개발원이 주관한 ‘2025년 늘봄·방과후학교 우수사례 공모전’에서 대상 1교를 비롯해 5개 학교가 수상의 영예를 안았다.
11일 대구시교육청에 따르면 이번 공모전은 공교육 중심의 돌봄과 교육을 통해 학부모의 양육 부담을 덜고, 학생의 안전과 성장에 기여한 우수 사례를 발굴·확산하기 위해 마련됐다. 대구에서는 초등 늘봄학교 부문에서 3개교, 중등 방과후학교 부문에서 2개교가 선정되는 성과를 거뒀다.
초등 늘봄학교 부문에서 세천초등학교가 대상을 차지했다. 세천초는 ‘꿈 On! 끼 Up!’이라는 슬로건 아래 학교 구성원이 TF를 꾸려 프로그램 기획부터 운영까지 협력하고, 학생 맞춤형 성장 지원과 안전한 돌봄 운영에 힘쓴 점이 높은 평가를 받았다.
최우수상에는 사수초등학교가 선정됐다. 사수초는 지역 대학, 도서관, 체육단체와 연계해 다양한 체험과 돌봄 프로그램을 제공한 점이 인정받았다. 우수상을 받은 봉덕초등학교는 정규 수업만으로는 경험하기 어려운 체험 중심 프로그램을 확대해 학생들의 진로 탐색과 재능 개발을 뒷받침했다.
중등 방과후학교 부문에서는 청구고등학교가 최우수상을 수상했다. 청구고는 IB 교육철학을 방과후 프로그램에 접목해 학생들이 자기주도적으로 학습하고 미래 역량을 키울 수 있는 환경을 조성했다. 이어 우수자를 배출한 광명학교는 시각장애 학생을 위한 예술 중심 프로그램과 비즈쿨 동아리 등 다양한 동아리 활동을 통해 정서 안정과 진로역량 발전에 기여했다.
강은희 대구시교육감은 “학생의 성장과 발달을 돕는 내실 있는 프로그램을 운영하고, 안전한 돌봄 서비스를 제공한 학교 관계자 여러분께 감사를 전한다”며 “우수 사례가 널리 확산돼 늘봄학교와 방과후학교가 더욱 내실 있게 운영될 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

In the secondary after-school program category, Cheonggu High School received the grand prize. Gwangmyeong School, which also produced outstanding students, contributed to emotional stability and career development through diverse club activities, including an arts-focused program for visually impaired students and a Bizschool club.
Daegu Metropolitan Superintendent of Education Kang Eun-hee stated, "I would like to express my gratitude to the school staff for operating substantive programs that support student growth and development and for providing safe care services. We will actively support Neulbom School and after-school programs so that these best practices can be widely shared and operated even more effectively."
