세종특별자치시교육청(교육감 권한대행 구연희 부교육감)이 대학수학능력시험일 저녁(11월 13일)부터 학생들의 일탈행동 및 비행을 예방하기 위해 관계기관과 함께 합동 생활지도 활동에 나섰다.
이번 활동은 수능 이후 해방감으로 인한 일시적 탈선과 더불어 최근 급증하는 ‘딥페이크’, ‘사이버폭력’, ‘사이버도박’ 등 신종 유해환경으로부터 청소년을 보호하기 위한 목적에서 마련됐다. 아울러 비속어 사용 등 언어문화 개선을 통해 학교폭력을 예방하고, 건전한 청소년 문화를 확산하는 데 초점이 맞춰졌다.
합동 생활지도에는 세종시교육청을 비롯해 세종경찰청, 세종남부·북부경찰서, 자치경찰위원회, 세종시청, 청소년상담복지센터, 유해환경감시단 등 관계기관 직원 70여 명이 참여했다. ‘학생 생활지킴이’로 구성된 이들은 3개 조로 나뉘어 오후 6시부터 8시까지 도담동, 나성동, 조치원읍 등 학생 밀집 지역의 다중이용시설을 집중 점검했다.
점검 대상은 PC방, 노래방, 음식점 등이며, 미성년자 출입 제한 업소에는 신분증 확인 강화를 요청하고 청소년보호 및 학교폭력 예방 홍보 활동도 병행했다. 또한 시민과 학생을 대상으로 ‘사이버 유해환경 예방 캠페인’을 전개하고, 학교폭력 예방 홍보물과 안전한 귀가를 독려하는 안내물을 배포했다.
특히 세종청소년상담복지센터가 함께 참여해 수능 이후 심리적 불안이나 스트레스를 호소하는 학생들이 현장에서 즉시 전문상담을 받을 수 있도록 지원했다.
구연희 교육감 권한대행은 “수능을 마친 학생들이 안전하게 일상을 마무리할 수 있도록 참여해주신 모든 기관에 감사드린다”며 “세종시교육청은 앞으로도 학교폭력 예방과 학생 생활지도를 강화하고, 청소년이 존중과 배려의 문화를 실천할 수 있도록 지역사회와 함께 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 세종시교육청은 수능 이후부터 연말까지를 ‘학생 생활지도 집중 기간(11월 13일~12월 31일)’으로 지정하고, 각 학교별 생활지도 계획을 마련해 운영할 계획이다. 더불어 경찰·지자체 등과 협력해 학교 밖 청소년 보호망을 강화하고, 취약지역 순찰 활동도 지속적으로 확대할 방침이다.
