대통령실이 16일 관봉권 띠지 폐기 의혹·쿠팡 퇴직금 불기소 외압 의혹 진상 규명을 위한 특검(상설특별검사) 임명 관련해 "월요일(17일) 정도까지 이뤄지는 걸로 안다"고 밝혔다.
강유정 대변인은 이날 오후 용산 대통령실 브리핑에서 상설특검 임명 계획 관련 취재진 질의에 이같이 답했다. 앞서 지난 14일 특검후보추천위는 특검 후보자로 박경춘(59)안권섭 변호사(60)를 추천했다.
박 후보자는 연세대 법학과 졸업·사법연수원 21기로 육군 제2·39사단 검찰관·수원지검 평택지청장 등을 거친 후 법무법인 서평 변호사로 재직 중이다.
안 후보자는 연세대 법학과 졸업·사법연수원 25기로 법무부 법조인력과 부장검사·서울고검 공판부장·춘천지검 차장검사 등을 거친 후 법무법인 대륜 대표변호사로 있다.
대통령은 후보 추천을 받은 날로부터 사흘 내 후보자 두 명 중 한 명을 특검으로 임명해야 한다. 상설특검은 재의요구권(거부권)을 행사할 수 없다.
