대통령실이 18일 한·미 협상 공동설명자료(조인트 팩트시트)에 대한 북한 논평 관련해 "조선중앙통신 논평과는 달리 북측에 적대·대결 의사가 없다"고 전했다.
강유정 대변인은 이날 오전 언론 공지를 통해 "남북 간 긴장 완화·신뢰 회복을 위해 일관되게 노력해 나가고자 한다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그러면서 "한·미 간 안보 협력은 안보를 튼튼히 하고 국익을 수호하기 위한 것"이라며 "정부는 앞으로도 한·미동맹이 한반도·역내 평화 안정에 기여할 수 있게 노력해 나갈 것"이라고 덧붙였다.
앞서 이날 오전 북 조선중앙통신은 논평에서 "이번 미·한 수뇌 회담 합의 발표는 집권 1년을 가까이하는 현 미 행정부의 대조선 정책 기조가 가장 선명하게 드러난 계기로 됐다"며 "우리 국가에 끝까지 적대적이려는 미·한의 대결 의지와 더욱 위험하게 될 미·한 동맹 미래를 잔상하고 있고 보다 불안정해질 지역 안보 형세를 예고해 주고 있다"고 했다.
또 한·미 팩트시트에 적시된 '완전한 비핵화' 관련해 "우리 헌법을 끝까지 부정하려는 대결 의지의 집중적 표현"이라며 "그들의 유일무이한 선택이 우리 국가와의 대결임을 입증했다"고 했다.
