브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 조현준 효성 회장이 미국 테네시주 멤피스에 위치한 초고압변압기 공장을 미국 최대 규모 생산기지로 키우겠다는 방침을 세웠다.
이에 따라 효성중공업은 18일 멤피스 공장에 1억 5700만 달러(약 2300억원)를 추가 투자해 2028년까지 초고압변압기 생산능력을 50% 이상 확대한다고 밝혔다. 이번까지 총 3억 달러(약 4400억원)가 투입되며, 멤피스 공장은 미국 내 최대 규모 변압기 공장으로 자리매김하게 된다.
