[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 국립창원대학교(총장 박민원)가 지역 중소기업의 혁신 성장을 이끄는 핵심 기관임을 다시 한번 입증했다. 국립창원대 산학협력단 중소기업산학협력센터 산하 공학컨설팅센터가 중소벤처기업부 주관 '맞춤형 기술파트너 지원사업' 운영기관 성과평가에서 최고 등급인 A등급을 획득했다고 18일 밝혔다.
이번 A등급 획득은 창원대가 2017년부터 2024년까지 8년 연속 동남권역(경남·부산·울산) 지역거점센터로 지정되어 사업을 수행하며, 지역 중소기업의 기술 애로 해소와 연구개발(R&D) 역량 강화에 실질적으로 기여한 결과다.
'맞춤형 기술파트너 지원사업'은 대학 기술전문가(교수)와 기업을 1:1로 매칭해 연구개발, 기술 지도, 사업화를 지원하는 중소벤처기업부의 핵심 사업입으로, 국립창원대 공학컨설팅센터는 지난 8년간 약 700여 건의 기술 지원 요청을 처리하고, 최종적으로 185개 과제를 선정하여 약 55억 5천만 원의 연구비를 지원하는 성과를 기록했다.
특히, 센터는 이공계 기술전문가 188명, 기술코디네이터 19명 등 총 230명의 전문 인력 풀을 구성하여 체계적인 R&D 기술 컨설팅과 사업화 지원에 힘써왔다. 2019년에는 전국 6개 센터 평가에서 '최우수 센터'로 선정된 바 있다.
