[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 제13회 경상남도지사배 전국요트대회가 21일부터 23일까지 3일간 경남 고성군 당항포 일원에서 열린다.

이번 대회는 경상남도가 주최하고 경남요트협회가 주관하며, 고성군과 대한요트협회, 코코도르(주)가 후원한다. 

전국에서 모인 요트선수 및 임원 100여 명이 참가해 열전을 펼칠 예정이다.

‘경남도지사배 전국요트대회’는 올해로 13회를 맞이했으며, 남해안의 새로운 해양관광 바닷길을 개척하고 경남의 매력적인 해양관광자원을 널리 알리기 위해 매년 도내 시군을 순회하며 열리고 있다.

경기는 국제크루저급 ORC, ORC스포츠 2개 종목으로 진행되며, 고성군 당항만 해역에서 인쇼어 레이스(육지와 가까운 수역에서 진행하는 요트경기) 방식으로 펼쳐진다.

대회 기간 동안 도민과 관광객을 위한 무료 요트승선체험도 함께 운영된다. 

참가자는 당항포 앞바다를 관람용 요트로 항해하며 요트의 매력과 남해안 해양풍광을 몸소 느껴볼 수 있다.
