[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산에서 아세안(ASEAN) 국가들의 문화와 매력을 한자리에서 즐길 수 있는 국제 문화교류 축제가 열린다. 시는 21일부터 30일까지 열흘간 동구 문화플랫폼에서 '2025 부산-아세안 주간'을 개최한다고 밝혔다.
부산-아세안 주간은 시민, 아세안 외교 사절단, 유학생, 아세안 진출 기업 등이 함께하는 대표적 국제 문화교류 행사로, 2019년 한-아세안 특별정상회의를 계기로 시작됐다. 부산시는 올해 행사도 부산글로벌도시재단과 KF아세안문화원과 공동으로 마련했다.
올해 행사는 ‘아세안플러스쓰리(ASEAN+3) 라운지’를 주제로, ‘아세안의 미(美)’, ‘아세안의 빛(光)’, ‘아세안의 창(窗)’, ‘한·중·일의 꿈(夢)’이라는 네 가지 콘셉트로 구성된다. 개막식은 21일 오후 5시에 열리며, 아세안 국가 대사와 주부산 외국공관장, 다문화학교 청소년 등 국내외 관계자 120여 명이 참석해 개회식, 축사, 축하 공연, 점등식 등이 진행된다.
행사 기간 동안 시민들이 자유롭게 참여할 수 있는 다양한 전시·체험 프로그램이 운영된다. ‘아세안의 미(美)’ 공간에서는 아세안 국가 소개와 기념품 전시, 휴양지 콘셉트의 힐링 공간, 아세안 음료·디저트 마켓이 마련된다.
‘아세안의 빛(光)’ 주제존에서는 국가별 등불 전시가 진행되며, ‘아세안의 창(窗)’에서는 등나무(라탄) 바구니·키링 만들기, 라오스 국화 ‘독참파’ 꽃핀 제작, 아세안 전통의상 체험 등이 제공된다.
또한 ‘한·중·일의 꿈(夢)’을 주제로 올해 상반기 열린 「제13회 한·중·일 어린이 아트페어」 입상작 200점이 전시돼 아세안과 동북아 문화가 함께 어우러지는 소통의 공간으로 꾸며질 예정이다. 행사 참여는 누구나 자유롭게 가능하며, 세부 정보는 부산시 공식 인스타그램(@busancity)에서 확인할 수 있다.
이준승 부산시 행정부시장은 “부산-아세안 주간은 아세안과 동북아가 함께 소통하는 뜻깊은 국제 문화 플랫폼”이라며 “올해 APEC 정상회의를 통해 아시아·태평양 협력의 중요성을 다시 확인한 만큼, 미래세대와 함께하는 지속 가능한 교류의 장으로 발전시키겠다”고 말했다.

Busan will host a major cultural exchange event highlighting the diversity of ASEAN countries as the city launches “2025 Busan–ASEAN Week” on Nov. 21 at the Dong-gu Culture Platform.
The city of Busan announced Thursday that the 10-day event will run through Nov. 30 at the Dong-gu Culture Platform near Busanjin Station Exit 8. Busan–ASEAN Week began after the successful 2019 Korea–ASEAN Special Summit and has since developed into a key platform for citizen diplomacy and sustainable cooperation with ASEAN nations. This year’s event is co-organized by the Busan Global City Foundation and the KF ASEAN Culture House.
The 2025 edition is themed “ASEAN+3 Lounge,” built around four concepts: “Beauty of ASEAN,” “Light of ASEAN,” “Window to ASEAN,” and “Dreams of Korea, China and Japan.” The opening ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, with more than 120 participants including ASEAN ambassadors, foreign consuls in Busan and multicultural youth. The program includes welcoming remarks, congratulatory messages, a performance by the Busan National University Park Sang-yong Dance Company and a lighting ceremony.
Throughout the week, visitors can take part in a wide range of exhibitions and hands-on cultural programs suitable for families. Under the “Beauty of ASEAN” theme, the venue will feature national introductions, souvenir displays, a resort-style rest area, and an ASEAN drinks and dessert market. The “Light of ASEAN” section will display lanterns representing each ASEAN member state. The “Window to ASEAN” area offers cultural activities such as crafting rattan baskets and key rings, making Laos’ national flower (dok champa) hair pins, and trying on traditional clothing from ASEAN countries.
In addition, the “Dreams of Korea, China and Japan” section will showcase 200 award-winning works from the 13th Korea–China–Japan Children’s Art Fair held earlier this year, creating a cultural space that fosters exchange not only with ASEAN but also among Northeast Asian nations.
All programs are open to the public free of charge, and further details are available on Busan City’s official Instagram account (@busancity).
Vice Mayor Lee Jun-seung said the event “serves as a meaningful international cultural platform where ASEAN and Northeast Asia come together.” He added that, following this year’s APEC Summit, Busan intends to strengthen cooperation networks with ASEAN and expand the festival into a sustainable exchange space for future generations.
