파주시 운정보건소는 17일부터 21일까지 1주일간 에이즈와 성매개감염병 예방을 위한 홍보 활동을 진행하고 있다고 밝혔다.

이번 홍보는 지역 주민과 보건소 방문자를 대상으로 감염병 예방 인식을 높이고 조기 발견을 위한 익명 검사 이용을 활성화하기 위해 마련됐다.
홍보 기간 동안 보건소 1층과 임상병리실에는 성매개감염병 예방 홍보물 3종이 부착되며 간이 홍보 공간을 마련해 안내책자와 에이즈 예방 물품을 제공하며 임상병리실을 방문한 내소자에게는 에이즈 익명 검사 방법도 함께 안내한다.
에이즈 익명 검사는 진료나 예약 없이 보건소 운영시간 중 임상병리실에 방문하면 바로 검사받을 수 있다.
신속 검사의 경우 1시간 이내에 결과 확인이 가능하며 검사비는 전액 무료다.
정영숙 운정보건소장은 주민들이 익명 검사를 더욱 쉽게 이용할 수 있는 환경을 조성하고 성매개감염병에 대한 정확한 정보를 제공함으로써 지역사회 감염병 확산을 효과적으로 차단할 수 있을 것이라고 밝혔다.
