【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=경북기계공업고등학교(교장 이준구)가 국가기술자격 취득 우수학교 평가에서 2년 연속 전국 최고 자리에 올랐다.
시상식은 지난 20일 서울 노보텔 앰배서더 동대문에서 한국산업인력공단 주관으로 열렸다.
국가기술자격 취득 우수학교 평가는 기술자격 취득을 통한 직무능력 향상을 장려하고, 우수 기술 인력 양성 학교를 격려하기 위해 지난해 도입된 제도다.
경북기계공고는 700여 명의 재학생이 1,000건 이상의 국가기술자격을 취득한 실적을 바탕으로, 우수성, 교육체계, 성과 지표 등에서 높은 점수를 받았다.
경북기계공고는 그동안 산업현장 중심의 실무형 교육과정을 구축하고, 학생의 수준과 직무에 맞춰 방과후 프로그램을 운영하는 등 자격 취득 기반 마련에 힘써왔다.
특히 6개 과정평가형 산업기사 과정을 운영하며 이론과 실습을 아우르는 전문 교육 시스템을 안정적으로 정착시킨 점이 높이 평가된다.
이준구 교장은 “2년 연속 전국 최우수학교 선정은 학생들의 열정과 교사들의 헌신이 만들어낸 소중한 성과”라며, “앞으로도 미래 제조·기계 산업을 이끌 기술 인재를 기르기 위해 전문 교육과 자격 취득 지원을 더욱 강화하겠다”고 밝혔다.

In particular, the school's stable and established professional education system, encompassing both theory and practice, was highly praised for its six-course evaluation-based industrial technician program.
