【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시청자미디어센터가 오는 29일 대구시청자미디어센터 다목적홀에서 ‘2025 대구미디어페스티벌’을 진행한다.
이번 행사는 시민들의 미디어 제작과 활용 역량을 키우고, 미디어를 통한 사회적 가치 및 임팩트 창출 사례를 공유하고자 마련됐다. 행사에는 일반 시민을 비롯해 미디어 활동가와 미디어 강사 등 누구나 참여할 수 있다.
행사는 시청자미디어재단 대구시청자미디어센터를 비롯해 대구마을공동체만들기지원센터, 대구영상미디어센터, 수성영상미디어센터, 대구시민미디어센터, 동구FM이 공동 주최한다.
올해 미디어페스티벌은 단순한 시민 제작 콘텐츠 상영을 넘어, 시민 미디어가 지역 현안 해결에 기여하는 사회적 임팩트 창출에 초점을 맞췄다. 대표 프로그램으로는 ▲시민 콘텐츠 상영회 ‘우리는 시네마 루키’ ▲온마을 미디어 공모전 시상식 ▲임팩트 사례 발표 및 포럼 ▲디지털 아트 전시 ‘쓰담’ 등이 준비돼 있다.
시민 콘텐츠 상영회 ‘우리는 시네마 루키’는 오전 10시에 시작된다. 청소년과 시니어, 지역 주민이 직접 만든 영화와 성평등을 주제로 한 영상이 상영되며, 제작자와 관객이 직접 만나 소통할 수 있는 자리도 마련된다.
온마을 미디어 공모전 시상식은 오후 12시 30분에 열린다. 마을공동체의 다양한 활동을 미디어로 기록한 작품 시상과 함께, 모범 사례가 소개된다.
오후 1시부터는 임팩트 사례 발표와 포럼이 이어진다. 환경, 장애, 노인 공동체 등 지역 문제를 다룬 사례 발표 후, 참여자들은 ‘시민 미디어로 임팩트 만들기’를 주제로 콘텐츠 기획을 함께 논의한다.
디지털 아트 전시 ‘쓰담’은 행사 기간 내내 운영된다. 수성영상미디어센터 교육을 통해 시민 11명이 완성한 20여 점의 작품이 전시되며, 시민 예술가들의 창작 활동을 응원한다.
왕현호 대구시청자미디어센터 팀장은 “올해 페스티벌은 상영과 특강에 머물지 않고 시민 참여형 제작·체험 중심으로 확대됐다”며 “미디어를 통해 시민의 목소리가 지역 사회에 긍정적 변화를 불러올 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

This year's media festival goes beyond simply screening citizen-produced content, focusing on creating social impact through citizen media's contribution to addressing local issues. Key programs include the citizen content screening "We Are Cinema Rookies," the Onmaeul Media Competition Awards Ceremony, presentations and forums on impact cases, and the digital art exhibition "Tsseudam."
The citizen content screening, "We Are Cinema Rookies," begins at 10:00 AM. Films created by youth, seniors, and local residents, as well as videos on gender equality, will be screened. There will also be opportunities for producers and audiences to interact directly.
The Onmaeul Media Contest Awards Ceremony will be held at 12:30 PM. Awards will be given to works documenting various community activities through media, and best practices will be shared.
Starting at 1:00 PM, a presentation of impact cases and a forum will follow. Following presentations addressing local issues such as the environment, disability, and senior communities, participants will discuss content planning under the theme of "Creating Impact with Citizen Media."
The digital art exhibition "Sseudam" will be open throughout the event. Approximately 20 works created by 11 citizens through training at the Suseong Visual Media Center will be on display, supporting the creative work of citizen artists.
Wang Hyeon-ho, team leader of the Daegu Citizen Media Center, said, “This year’s festival has expanded beyond screenings and special lectures to include citizen-participatory production and experiences,” adding, “We will actively support citizens’ voices through media to bring about positive change in the local community.”
