거창군, 소아비만 해결 ‘전국 1등’ 모델 됐다

[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 취약계층 아동의 건강 불평등 해소를 위해 고민해 온 거창군 드림스타트가 전국에서 가장 우수한 ‘아동 건강 솔루션’을 제시한 지자체로 인정받았다.

거창군은 24일, 보건복지부가 주관하고 한국보건복지인재원이 주최한 ‘2025년 드림스타트 전문화·특성화과정 실천 사례 공모전’에서 프로그램 기획 운영 부문 대상(보건복지부 장관상)을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

이번 수상의 일등 공신은 거창군이 야심 차게 추진한 ‘비만탈출! 가족과 함께하는 건강한 변화’ 프로그램이다. 거창군 드림스타트는 지난 2월, 관내 취약계층 취학 아동을 대상으로 전수조사와 건강검진을 실시했다. 이 과정에서 BMI(체질량지수) 기준을 초과한 비만·과체중 아동들을 선별해 체계적인 관리에 돌입했다.
