【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구가 어려운 이웃들의 겨울을 따뜻하게 만들고자 ‘2025 사랑의 김장 나눔’ 행사를 개최했다.
이번 행사는 북구새마을회와 북구여성단체협의회가 각각 주관해, 관내 저소득층과 독거가구에 김장김치를 전달하며 지역사회에 온정을 나눴다.
북구새마을회(회장 김현수)는 지난 24일부터 25일까지 북구청 별관 주차장에서 자매결연을 맺은 괴산군에서 들여온 절임배추 4,500포기를 사용해 김장김치를 마련했다.
완성된 김장김치는 23개 동 행정복지센터와 복지시설 등 1,500여 세대에 7kg씩 전달될 예정이다. 이번 행사에는 새마을지도자대구북구협의회 및 새마을부녀회 회원들이 힘을 보탰으며, 지역 기관들과 협력해 소외계층 지원에 앞장섰다.
김현수 북구새마을회장은 “물가 상승으로 농산물 가격이 올라 쉽지 않은 상황이었지만, 김장을 기다리는 이웃을 생각하며 모두가 기쁜 마음으로 참여했다”며 “이번 나눔이 소외계층에게 작은 희망이 되길 바란다”고 전했다.
배광식 북구청장도 “매년 헌신적으로 봉사해주는 새마을 지도자와 후원자 분들께 감사드린다”며 “따뜻한 공동체 정신이 지역에 더욱 퍼지기를 바란다”고 밝혔다.

같은 날, 북구여성단체협의회(회장 한성희)도 구암동 옻골동산에서 ‘사랑의 김장나눔’ 행사를 열고, 저소득·독거어르신 320가구에 김장김치를 전달했다. 행사에는 회원 60여 명이 참석했으며, 경제적 또는 신체적으로 김장 준비가 어려운 가구를 중심으로 배부가 이뤄졌다.
한성희 북구여성단체협의회 회장은 “작은 정성이지만 이웃들에게 도움이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 꾸준한 봉사활동을 이어가겠다”고 말했다. 배광식 북구청장은 “회원들이 베푼 정성과 배려가 주민들에게 큰 힘과 위로가 될 것”이라며 감사 인사를 전했다.
한편, 북구새마을회와 여성단체협의회는 김장 나눔뿐만 아니라 각종 사회공헌 활동과 봉사에 꾸준히 참여하며 지역 복지 증진에 자신의 역할을 다하고 있다.

On the same day, the Buk-gu Women's Organization Council (Chairman Han Seong-hee) also held a "Sharing Kimchi with Love" event at Otgol Hill in Guam-dong, delivering kimchi to 320 low-income and elderly households living alone.
