이번 장학금 지원은 경상북도와 경주시가 후원하는 지역산업 연계형 특성화학과 혁신지원 사업의 하나로 추진됐다. 학교 장학기준을 충족한 자동차소재부품공학전공 재학생 29명이 선발되었으며, 수여된 장학금은 등록금 전액(100%) 규모로 지원됐다.
박성범 사업단장은 “이번 장학금은 지역 자동차소재부품 산업을 이끌 미래 인재를 육성하기 위한 의미 있는 투자”라며 “선발된 학생들이 전문 교육을 통해 산업 현장에서 필요한 기술역량을 갖춘 핵심 인재로 성장하길 바란다”고 말했다.
한편, 4MulaOne사업단은 2021년 7월 경상북도의 지역산업 연계형 대학 특성화학과 혁신지원 사업에 선정된 이후, 오는 2025년 12월까지 경상북도·경주시·대학으로부터 총 26억 원 규모의 지원을 받아 전문 인재 양성에 투자하고 있다. 사업단은 실무형·문제해결형·미래친화형·융합형 인재 육성을 목표로 교육과정 개편, 실습환경 개선 등 교육 혁신 프로그램을 지속 추진하고 있다.

The 4MulaOne Project Group (Director: Professor Park Sung-beom), which operates the Dongguk University WISE Campus (President Ryu Wan-ha) Regional Industry-Linked Specialized Chemical Engineering Innovation Support Project, held a scholarship award ceremony for the Automotive Materials and Components Engineering major for the fall semester of 2025 on the 25th at the Energy Engineering Building on campus.
This scholarship award is part of the Regional Industry-Linked Specialized Chemical Engineering Innovation Support Project sponsored by Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and Gyeongju City. Twenty-nine current students in the Automotive Materials and Components Engineering major who met the school's scholarship criteria were selected, and the scholarships awarded amounted to 100% of tuition.
Park Seong-beom, head of the project, said, "This scholarship is a meaningful investment in fostering future talent who will lead the local automotive materials and components industry. We hope that the selected students will develop into key talents equipped with the technical capabilities needed in the industry through specialized training."
Meanwhile, the 4MulaOne project team was selected for the Gyeongsangbuk-do Province's Regional Industry-Linked University Specialized Chemical Engineering Department Innovation Support Project in July 2021. Since then, the project team has invested in fostering specialized talent with a total of KRW 2.6 billion in support from Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Gyeongju City, and universities through December 2025. The project team is continuously pursuing educational innovation programs, including curriculum reform and improved training environments, with the goal of fostering practical, problem-solving, future-oriented, and convergent talent.
