【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구청이 올해산 공공비축미곡 20.4톤을 지난 26일에 매입 완료했다고 27일 밝혔다.
이번 매입은 쌀 수급 안정과 식량 확보 차원에서 품질이 뛰어난 일품벼와 삼광벼를 대상으로 진행됐다.
북구청은 품종 혼입을 예방하기 위해 매입 농가의 5%를 표본으로 선정해 DNA 분석을 통한 품종 검정을 실시했다. 양쪽 품종이 섞인 사실이 드러날 경우 해당 농가는 향후 5년간 공공비축미 매입에서 제외된다.
수매 대금의 경우, 농업인들의 수확기 영농 자금 확보를 지원하기 위해 1포대(40kg)당 4만 원이 중간정산금으로 우선 지급됐다. 최종 정산액은 연말 전국 산지 쌀값이 확정된 이후 지급된다.
배광식 북구청장은 “수확기 궂은 날씨와 벼 깨씨무늬병 등 여러 어려움 속에서도 좋은 쌀을 생산해준 농업인 여러분께 감사드린다”며 “앞으로도 농가 소득 안정을 위해 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
