이재명 대통령이 오는 3일 특별 담화·외신 기자회견을 갖고 이달말까지 청와대 이전도 마무리할 계획이라고 대통령실이 1일 전했다.
대통령실에 따르면 이 대통령은 3일 외신 기자 80여명이 참석하는 가운데 '새롭게 선 민주주의, 그 1년' 주제로 1시간 가량 기자회견을 갖는 가운데 이날 특별 담화 및 5부 요인 오찬 등도 갖는다.
대통령실은 "특별 담화는 대한민국 국민들 노고를 기억하는 내용"이라며 "외신 기자회견을 통해 국제 사회에 K 민주주의 회복을 천명하고 국민 통합 메시지를 전할 것"이라고 전했다.
청와대 이전 경우 올 연말까지 부서별 순차적 이동이 이뤄지는 가운데 대통령 관저는 보안상 이유로 내년 상반기 중 이전될 걸로 알려졌다.
이 대통령 대선 공약은 대통령 집무실 세종 이전이었으나 정부가 오는 2030년까지 세종 집무실 완공을 목표로 하면서 임기 중엔 이전이 어려운 상황이다.
