파주시가 관내 환경기초시설 운영사들로부터 6천만 원의 성금을 전달받았다고 27일 밝혔다.
이번 기부는 소각장 및 공공폐수처리시설 운영사들이 공동도급 참여사들과 함께 뜻을 모아 이뤄져 의미를 더했다.
이날 기부금 전달식에는 환경에너지솔루션㈜ 이상헌 대표이사, 리뉴어스㈜ 정원익 사업관리본부장 등 각 운영사의 임원급 관계자들이 참석해 지역사회 상생 의지를 확인했다.

환경에너지솔루션㈜는 파주시 내 생활폐기물 소각시설, 매립시설, 재활용선별시설을 운영하며 폐기물의 안정적 처리와 자원 회수, 탄소 배출 저감에 힘쓰고 있다.
리뉴어스㈜는 파주 엘시디(LCD)·문산·월롱 산업단지 공공폐수처리시설을 통합 운영·관리하며 대규모 산업폐수를 처리해 지역 수질 개선과 산업단지 환경안전을 책임지고 있다.
두 회사는 각각의 분야에서 핵심 환경기초시설을 담당하며 파주시의 환경 관리 체계를 안정적으로 유지하는 데 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있다.
환경기초시설 운영사 관계자는 "기부는 받는 사람도 좋지만, 하는 사람은 더 행복함을 느낀다"며 "앞으로도 지역사회와 동반 성장하며 책임 있는 기업 활동을 이어가겠다"고 말했다.
김경일 파주시장은 "매년 꾸준한 나눔으로 지역과 함께해 주시는 기업 여러분께 깊이 감사드린다"며 "이번 성금이 연말 지역 곳곳에 따뜻한 온기를 전해 많은 이웃들에게 힘이 되길 바란다"고 밝혔다.
기탁된 성금은 파주시 지역 내 취약계층 지원을 위해 사용될 예정이다.
