[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시의회 복지환경위원회 이준호 의원(금정구2, 국민의힘)이 부산시 공무원들이 선정한 ‘존경받는 시의원’으로 3년 연속 이름을 올렸다.
시청 직원들이 직접 참여한 설문에서 연이어 최다 득표를 기록하며 이 의원의 의정활동이 다시 주목받고 있다.
부산공무원노동조합은 지난 11월 24일부터 25일까지 양일간 전 조합원을 대상으로 ‘존경하는 간부 및 갑질 간부(직장 내 괴롭힘 포함) 설문조사’를 실시했다. ‘일하고 싶은 직장문화 정착 및 개선 방안 마련’을 위해 진행된 이번 조사에는 약 4,413명 중 2,458명(응답률 55.7%)이 참여했으며, 주로 부산시 소속 6급 이하 실무 공무원들이 응답했다.
이 의원은 2023년부터 세 차례 연속으로 ‘존경받는 시의원’으로 선정된 데 이어, 9대 의회 임기 중 총 4차례 진행된 조사에서도 모두 1위를 차지했다. 응답자들은 “공무원을 인격적으로 대하고, 시정 현안과 민원 해결에 합리적이고 상식적으로 임한다”는 점을 주요 선정 이유로 꼽았다.
최연소 시의원 당선자로 주목받았던 이 의원은 ‘부산광역시 학교폭력예방 및 대책에 관한 조례’ 개정과 ‘부산광역시 장애인체육 진흥 조례’ 제정 등 교육·복지 분야에서 실질적 개선을 이끌어왔다. 또 금정구 침례병원 정상화 간담회와 금샘로 개통 등 지역 현안을 다룬 시정질문을 통해 시민 생활과 밀접한 현안 해결에도 힘써왔다.
이준호 의원은 “부산시 직원들의 평가에 감사드리며, 앞으로도 시민과 공직자가 함께 실효성 있는 시정을 만들 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
Busan City Employees Name Councilor Lee Junho as Most Respected Member for Third Year
Busan Metropolitan Councilor Lee Junho has been voted the most respected council member by city employees for the third consecutive year, according to a recent survey conducted by the Busan Government Employees’ Union.
The union held a two-day survey from November 24 to 25 targeting its members to identify “respected leaders” and “abusive supervisors” as part of efforts to promote a more positive workplace culture. Out of approximately 4,400 members, 2,458, or about 55.7 percent, took part, consisting mainly of Grade 6 or lower city officials.
Lee, a member of the People Power Party representing Geumjeong District’s second constituency and serving on the Council’s Welfare and Environment Committee, received the highest votes in similar surveys held in 2023, 2024, and 2025. The union said respondents cited his fair and rational approach to policy matters and citizen issues, as well as his respectful treatment of public servants.
Elected as the youngest city councilor in Busan’s history, Lee has authored and revised several ordinances, including amendments to the “Busan Ordinance on the Prevention of School Violence” and the “Busan Ordinance on the Promotion of Sports for Persons with Disabilities,” both aimed at building a more inclusive local community.
He has also been active in addressing local issues such as the normalization of the Jinrye Hospital in Geumjeong District and the opening of Geumsaem-ro, strengthening his policy presence with initiatives closely tied to citizens’ daily lives.
Lee said he will continue working closely with city employees to pursue policies with tangible benefits for Busan residents.
