브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= KT는 경찰청과 폭발물 허위신고 등 신종 유형 청소년 범죄에 대한 경각심을 높이기 위해 RCS(Rich Communication Services) 메시징 서비스를 활용한 예방 활동을 시행한다고 2일 밝혔다.
KT는 경찰청과 지난 달 6일 폭발물 허위신고 예방 공익 RCS 메시지 송출을 시작으로, 이달 3일부터 사이버 도박과 전동킥보드·픽시 자전거 불법 사용 등 신종 범죄에 대한 예방 정보를 연내 순차적으로 발송할 계획이다. RCS 메시징 기술은 기존 문자 메시지와 달리 텍스트 외에도 카드형 형식을 지원해 다양한 정보 제공에 효과적이다.
KT는 12월 동계 방학 기간 중 스마트폰 사용이 늘어나는 점에 착안해 사이버 도박 관련 메시지를 발송한다. 가정에서 부모가 자녀의 도박 징후를 쉽게 확인할 수 있도록 주요 착안사항을 카드뉴스 형식으로 제공할 예정이다.
KT는 자체 빅데이터 분석 역량과 RCS 메시징 기술을 활용해 이번 캠페인에서 초·중·고교생과 학부모를 연령대, 가구 형태 등 다양한 조건으로 세분화해 전국 20만 명에게 신종 범죄 예방 정보를 제공한다. 청소년의 사이버 범죄 노출 가능성을 고려해 안내하는 만큼 예방 효과가 높을 것으로 기대된다.
