파주시 장애인 일자리 지원 조례안 원안가결

파주시의회는 제260회 제2차 정례회 자치행정위원회에서 손성익 의원이 대표 발의한 파주시 장애인 일자리 창출 및 고용촉진 지원 조례안을 원안가결했다.

2024년 12월 말 기준 파주시 민간기업의 장애인 고용 현황을 보면 총 255개 기업 중 117개 기업만이 장애인 고용 의무를 이행하고 있으며 138개 기업은 여전히 의무를 지키지 않고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

이는 기업이 장애인 고용에 부담을 느끼고 있으며 장애인의 취업 환경도 여전히 어려운 현실을 반영한다.

이에 따라 조례안은 장애인 일자리 창출과 고용촉진 추진계획 수립과 시행, 장애인 고용 사업주 지원, 민관 협력체계 구축, 장애인 일자리 창출 위원회 구성 등을 주요 내용으로 담았다.

조례안을 대표 발의한 손성익 의원은 장애인 고용은 기업의 부담이 아니라 가장 가치 있는 투자라며 이번 조례가 단순한 고용 장려를 넘어 장애인의 안정적 일자리와 경제적 자립을 뒷받침하는 기반이 될 것이라고 강조했다.
