경상북도 상주시(시장:강영석)는 2025년 11월 25일 헌신동 260-12 일원에 조성된 ‘물방골 소공원’에 시인-수필가, 한국국보문인협회 부이사장인 조남대 시인의 시비를 건립했다.
조남대 시인은 1955년 5월 5일에 헌신동 131번지에서 출생했다.

상주시는 지난 2025년 10월 27에 헌신동 260-12번지 일원에 물방골 소공원 준공식을 개최했다. 이 행사에는 강영석 상주시장과 이건용 동문동장 등 관계자와 주민 50여 명이 참석했다. 소공원에는 7억여 원을 들여 지름 5m의 물레방아와 폭 15m, 높이 7m인 인공폭포가 아담한 정자와 함께 만들어졌다. 또한, 한쪽에는 조남대 시인의 시비와 마을 유례를 적은 비석도 나란히 세워졌다.
