[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도가 단순한 스포츠 성과를 넘어, 장애인 체육의 가치와 사회적 관심을 한 단계 끌어올리는 시상식을 개최했다. 경상남도(도지사 박완수)는 15일 도청 신관 대강당에서 열린 ‘제18회 경상남도장애인체육상 시상식’에서 장애인 체육 발전의 숨은 주역들을 격려하고, 포용적인 스포츠 문화를 확산하는 데 기여한 공로를 치하했다.
2008년 첫 시행 이후 18회째를 맞이한 이번 시상식에는 박완수 도지사, 최학범 도의회 의장, 수상자와 가족, 장애인체육인 등 450여 명이 참석해 성황을 이루었다.
올해 시상에서는 우수선수·종목단체 임원·후원자 등 총 56명의 유공자가 수상의 영예를 안았다. 도지사 표창은 남해군장애인체육회 이영준 수석부회장을 포함한 12명에게 수여됐으며, 생활체육 활성화와 종목 발전에 기여한 인물들이 선정됐다.
장애인체육회장 표창은 통영시장애인체육회 김민수 장애인생활체육지도자를 비롯한 10명이 받았고, 도의회의장 표창은 경남장애인요트연맹 정철교 스포츠공정위원장 등 12명에게 돌아갔다. 또한 장애인체육 후원에 꾸준히 참여해 온 파블로항공 김영준 대표이사에게는 감사패를, 장애인체육 발전에 기여한 한청수 이사와 최광휘 감사에게는 공로패를 전달했다.
