[브레이크뉴스 동두천=김완영 기자] 경기도 동두천시는 2025년 재난대응 안전한국훈련 평가에서 2년 연속 ‘우수기관’으로 선정됐다고 지난 15일 밝혔다.
안전한국훈련은 행정안전부 주관으로 매년 실시하는 국가 단위 재난대응 훈련이다. 다양한 복합재난 상황을 가정해 재난관리책임기관의 대응체계를 점검하고, 현장 중심의 재난대응 역량 강화를 목표로 한다.
동두천시는 지난 10월 30일 ‘소요산 산불 발생 및 확산에 따른 다중이용시설 화재’라는 복합재난 상황을 가정해 훈련을 실시했다. 훈련에는 동두천시를 비롯해 동두천소방서, 동두천경찰서 등 8개 유관기관과 2개 민간단체 등 269명이 참여해 실전형 훈련을 진행했다.
시는 훈련 준비 단계부터 13개 협업 부서와 유관기관의 의견을 적극 반영하고, 지휘부 사전 점검회의를 통해 재난 발생 시 기관 간 신속하고 유기적인 협업체계 구축과 실질적인 재난대응 능력 강화를 목표로 체계적으로 추진했다.
또한 주민에게 실제 상황을 가정한 역할을 부여해 훈련에 참여하도록 함으로써 현장성과 실효성을 높였다. 모든 참여자는 맡은 역할을 충실히 수행하며 훈련을 성공적으로 마무리했다.
이 같은 운영 성과가 높은 평가를 받으며, 동두천시는 지난해에 이어 2년 연속 ‘우수기관’으로 선정되는 성과를 거둬 안전한 도시를 만드는데 심혈을 기울였다는 평가다.
박형덕 시장은 “철저한 사전 대비와 실전 중심의 훈련이 시민 안전을 지키는 핵심”이라며 “앞으로도 유관기관과 함께 현장 대응 능력을 강화해 안전한 동두천을 만들어 가겠다”라고 말했다.
