파주시 교육 가족 특화 도서관인 해솔도서관은 경기문화재단의 중견문화예술교육단체 판로지원사업인 노는예술 더하기 공모사업을 성공적으로 완료했다고 밝혔다.

해솔도서관은 이번 사업을 통해 문화예술교육단체 공간 서커스살롱과 협력해 둠칫몸짓 서커스놀이 프로그램을 지난 7일과 14일 총 2회에 걸쳐 운영했다.
둠칫몸짓 서커스놀이는 초등학생 자녀와 부모가 함께 참여하는 가족 공동 연수 프로그램으로 기획됐으며 총 10가족을 모집한 결과 양일간 총 68명이 참여했으며 일요일 오후 시간을 활용해 회차당 3시간씩 집중도 높은 프로그램으로 진행됐다.
해당 프로그램은 일상에서 접할 수 있는 과학 원리를 배우고 이를 서커스 기예에 적용해 신체 활동을 통해 과학 지식을 체득하도록 설계됐으며 공간 서커스살롱 서상현 대표를 비롯한 강사진 3명이 자체 개발한 콘텐츠로 운영됐다.
참여자들은 1차시에서 공과 얇은 천을 던지는 활동을 통해 중력과 공기저항의 원리를 배우고 2차시에서는 무게중심과 작용 반작용의 원리를 활용한 외줄타기 체험을 진행했다.
프로그램에 참여한 주민들은 가족이 함께 운동하며 소통할 수 있어 뜻깊은 시간이었다는 반응을 보였으며 평소 각자 시간을 보내던 가족이 장시간 함께 놀이에 집중할 수 있었고 다른 가족들과도 교류할 수 있어 의미가 있었다는 의견도 이어졌다.
파주시 해솔도서관 관계자는 기존에 준비 중이던 가족 참여형 배움 프로그램인 해솔배움에 이번 공모사업을 접목해 예산을 확대하고 도서관을 통해 더욱 풍성한 문화 예술 향유와 융합형 교육을 제공하게 됐다고 설명했다.
또한 이번 프로그램을 통해 호기심 시도 실패 재도전으로 이어지는 과정을 경험하며 어린이들이 유연성과 회복력을 키우는 시간이 되었을 것이라고 밝혔다.
해솔도서관은 앞으로도 가족친화형 도서관이라는 건립 취지와 교육 특화 주제를 반영한 다양한 독서문화 프로그램을 지속적으로 운영해 시민의 참여와 성장을 이끌어 나갈 계획이다.
