일산소방서가 현장 구급대원의 건강과 안전을 확보하고 감염 방지 계획을 수립하기 위해 지난 16일 하반기 감염관리위원회를 개최했다.

이는 현장의 감염성 질환 노출 위험으로부터 대원들을 보호하고, 감염 방지 실태를 분석해 향후 계획에 반영하기 위함이다.
감염관리위원회는 연 2회 상·하반기로 정기적으로 실시되며 위원회는 위원장인 소방서장을 중심으로 운영되며, 일산소방서 지도의사로 활동 중인 인제대학교 일산백병원 신동운 교수가 자문의사로 초빙됐다.
이날 위원회에서는 주요 안건으로 구조·구급대원의 예방접종 및 건강검진에 관한 사항을 논의했다.
또한, 출동 시 발생하는 의료폐기물 처리에 관한 사항과 일회용 구급 소모품 재사용 금지에 관한 사항 등 실질적인 감염 관리 방안들이 다뤄졌다.
김진학 일산소방서장은 "이번 하반기 감염관리위원회를 계기로 감염관리 및 감염 관련 예방 교육을 지속적으로 실시하겠다"고 말했으며 "국민에게 신뢰받는 구급 서비스 제공을 위해 감염 관리 체계를 더욱 강화해 나갈 방침이다"라고 강조했다.
