파주소방서가 구급대원의 건강과 안전을 위한 종합적인 감염관리 대책 마련에 나섰다.
파주소방서는 17일 '2025년 하반기 감염관리위원회'를 개최하고, 현장 활동 중 구급대원들이 직면하는 감염병 위험을 최소화하기 위한 관리 체계를 점검했다고 밝혔다.
이번 위원회는 구급대원의 안전한 근무환경 보장은 물론, 구급차를 이용하는 시민과 환자 보호로 이어지는 감염관리의 중요성에 주목해 마련됐다.

구급차와 장비의 위생·소독 수준이 높아질수록 이송 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 교차감염 위험이 줄어들고, 보다 안전한 응급의료서비스 제공이 가능하기 때문이다.
위원회는 구급차 및 장비 소독 관리 실태, 개인보호구 착용 및 탈의 준수 여부, 감염관리 교육 이행 현황, 감염 노출 사례 관리 및 사후 조치 현황 등을 종합적으로 점검했다.
평가 결과 전반적인 감염관리 체계는 안정적으로 유지되고 있으며, 특히 의료폐기물 처리 과정과 구급차 소독 관리 수준이 크게 향상된 것으로 확인됐다.
다만 출동 빈도가 높은 일부 구급차의 경우 장비 관리와 소모품 보충의 신속성을 추가로 개선할 필요가 있다는 의견이 제시됐다.
김명찬 파주소방서장은 "구급대원들은 현장에서 감염병에 상시 노출될 수 있는 직업군"이라며 "이번 회의를 통해 더욱 체계적이고 지속 가능한 감염관리 시스템을 구축할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
이어 "이는 구급대원의 건강을 지키는 동시에, 구급차를 이용하는 시민에게도 더 안전한 이송 환경을 제공해 지역사회 안전을 높이는 데 기여할 것"이라고 강조했다.
