고양특례시는 지난 14일 직장동아리 ‘한울봉사회’와 ‘고양시공무직노동조합’이 함께 지역 취약계층을 위한 겨울맞이 생필품 및 연탄 나눔 봉사활동을 진행했다고 17일 밝혔다.

이번 봉사에는 한울봉사회 회원과 공무직노조 조합원 및 가족 등 30여 명이 참여했으며 봉사자들은 동 행정복지센터를 통해 추천받은 지원 대상 가구 중 차량 진입이 어려운 고지대 및 취약지역을 우선 방문해 연탄 800장을 직접 전달했다.
또한 쌀, 부식, 전기장판, 방한용품 등 겨울 필수 생필품을 함께 나누며 이웃들에게 따뜻한 마음을 전했다.
한울봉사회 김성홍 회장은 “작은 정성이 모여 진행된 나눔이 어려운 이웃들에게 조금이나마 힘이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 도움이 필요한 곳을 찾아 지속적인 봉사를 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
공무직노조 황인현 위원장은 “노사가 함께 참여한 이번 봉사활동이 지역사회의 희망을 키우는 소중한 계기가 되길 기대한다”고 전했다.
고양시는 앞으로도 다양한 직장 동아리 및 사회단체와 협력해 지역 복지 사각지대 해소에 힘쓸 계획이다.
