【브레이크뉴스 경주】박영재 기자=경주시의회(의장 이동협)는 18일 본회의장에서 제294회 제2차 정례회 제3차 본회의를 열고 총 7건의 안건을 심의했다고 밝혔다.
이날 본회의에 앞서 5분 자유발언이 진행됐다. 최영기 의원은 ‘중·장년층 1인 가구에 대한 관심 촉구’를, 정종문 위원장은 ‘동천~황성 도시숲길 조성사업의 차질 없는 추진’을, 김항규 의원은 ‘경주시 관문 조성을 통한 품격 있는 도시 이미지 향상’을 주제로 발언했다. 박광호 위원장은 ‘산내면 내일리 영구시설물 축조 동의안’과 관련해 행정 절차상 하자를 지적했다.
본회의에서는 '2025년도 제3회 추가경정예산안'과 '2025년도 제3회 기금운용계획변경안'을 비롯해 조례안 2건, 동의안 1건, '위원 추천의 건', '의사일정 변경동의의 건' 등 총 7개 안건을 심의했다. 이 가운데 「의사일정 변경동의의 건」은 부결됐으며, 나머지 안건은 모두 원안 가결됐다.

이어진 시정질문에서는 최재필 위원장이 ▲치매환자 등록률 제고 방안과 추진 현황, ▲치매안심센터 인력 확충 및 고용 지속성, ▲읍 지역 4개 분소의 서비스 제공 실효성과 접근성 개선 대책 등 3개 사안을 질의했다.
한순희 의원은 경주시 공공체육시설의 개방 확대와 활용도 제고 방안에 대해 질문했으며, 김동해 의원은 ▲경주시 미래 먹거리 산업 준비 상황과 SMR 국가산업단지 조성 추진 현황, ▲서경주 지역과 도심을 연결하는 제2 서천교 건립 계획 등 2개 사안에 대해 질의했다.
이동협 의장은 “시정질문을 통해 제기된 사안들은 시민의 목소리를 대변하는 것”이라며 “집행부는 이를 성실히 검토하고 실질적인 조치를 취해 달라”고 당부했다. 이어 “내일 열리는 제4차 본회의까지 정례회가 내실 있게 마무리될 수 있도록 최선을 다해 달라”고 말했다.
한편, 제294회 경주시의회 제2차 정례회는 오는 19일 제4차 본회의를 끝으로 23일간의 일정을 마무리할 예정이다.

Councilmember Kim Dong-hae inquired about two issues: the city's preparations for future food industries and the progress of the SMR National Industrial Complex development, and the plan to build a second Seocheon Bridge connecting the western Gyeongju area and the city center.
Chairman Lee Dong-hyeop stated, "The issues raised through the policy inquiry represent the voices of the citizens," and urged the executive branch to "sincerely review them and take practical measures." He added, "I urge the executive branch to do their utmost to ensure a substantive conclusion to the regular session by the fourth plenary session tomorrow."
Meanwhile, the second regular session of the 294th Gyeongju City Council is scheduled to conclude after 23 days with the fourth plenary session on the 19th.
