【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 18일 음성휴게소 내 위생등급을 받은 음식점 17개소를 식품 안심구역으로 지정하고 현판식을 개최했다.
음식점 위생등급제는 위생 상태를 평가해 등급(매우 우수, 우수, 좋음)을 부여하는 제도로, 음식점이 모여 있는 일정 구간에 위생등급을 받은 업소가 60% 이상 있을 경우 식품 안심구역 지정이 가능하다.
식품 소비자가 많은 다중이용시설 및 지역 관광지, 복합쇼핑몰, 먹자거리 음식점을 대상으로 지정이 확대되고 있다.
음성군에서는 전국 휴게소 최초로 음성휴게소 하남방향 8개소, 남이방향 9개소 등 총 17개소의 일반·휴게음식점을 식품 안심구역으로 지정하고 현판을 전달했다.
군은 앞으로도 안전한 외식환경 조성을 위해 위생등급 지정업소를 점차 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
군 관계자는 “음성 식품 안심구역 지정을 통해 음식점 위생에 대해 소비자가 안심하고 신뢰할 수 있는 먹거리를 찾을 수 있고 이를 통해 지역 상권 활성화에 기여할 수 있기를 바란다”고 말했다.
