이재명 대통령이 19일 "금융위는 공적 기능·공익적 역할을 얼마나 충실히 잘하냐가 핵심"이라고 주장했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오후 서울 종로구 정부서울청사 별관에서 열린 금융위원회·공정거래위원회 등 관련 기관 업무 보고 모두 발언에서 이같이 말한 후 "가급적 사람들 얘기하는 대로 생산적 금융으로 많은 사람들이 공정하게 금융적 접근권을 갖는 포용 금융으로 금융 제도가 발전돼야 된다"고 주장했다.
그러면서 "공정거래위가 하는 일은 점점 더 중요성 커지는 것 같다"며 "산업 경제 현장에서의 공정 질서 유지가 본질적 업무일텐데 기업 규모가 커지고 경쟁이 격화되며 공정거래위 역할이 점점 더 중요해지는 것 같다"고 주장했다.
