【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 지난 18일 음성명작관에서 군민 평가단인 ‘음성사랑행복위원회’를 개최하고, 민선 8기 공약사업 추진 현황을 점검했다고 밝혔다.
이번 회의는 음성사랑행복위원회 위원, 공약사업 담당 부서장 등 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
위원회는 △행정·복지 △교육·문화·환경 △신성장산업 △지역개발 △농업·농촌 등 5개 분과로 나눠 공약 이행 노력도를 평가하고, 대내외 여건 변화에 따른 사업 변경 사항을 논의했다.
이날 참석한 위원들은 민선 8기 공약사업 전반에 대해 ‘우수, 보통, 미흡’ 3단계로 평가를 진행했다.
분과별 집계 결과 △행정·복지 93% △교육·문화·환경 68.1% △신성장산업 72% △지역개발 58.8% △농업·농촌 80.8%가 ‘우수’ 등급을 기록해, 참석 위원 과반수가 군의 공약 이행 노력에 대해 긍정적인 평가를 내린 것으로 나타났다.
또한 위원회는 급변하는 행정 환경과 현장 여건을 반영해 조정이 필요한 공약사업들에 대해서도 심의를 진행했다. 각 분과는 토의를 거쳐 주민에게 실질적 도움이 되는 현실적 대안을 모색하며 변경 승인을 의결했다.
남흥식 음성사랑행복위원회 위원장은 “이번 평가는 군민과의 약속인 공약의 이행 사항을 살피며 주민의 입장에서 점검하는 중요한 시간이었다”며 “대부분의 사업이 정상 궤도에 올라와 있으나, 일부 미진한 부분에 대해서는 더욱 속도감 있게 추진해 달라”고 주문했다.
최윤복 기획감사과장은 “군민의 직접 참여로 냉철하게 평가된 소중한 고견을 군정에 적극 반영해 공약 이행의 완성도를 높이겠다”며 “민선 8기의 결실을 맺고, 나아가 ‘상상대로 음성, 2030 음성시 건설’을 위해 책임감을 갖고 끝까지 최선을 다하겠다”고 강조했다.
한편 군은 공약사업의 투명성과 신뢰성을 높이기 위해 분기별 자체 평가와 반기별 추진상황 보고회를 정례화하고 있다. 아울러 음성사랑행복위원회 운영과 한국매니페스토실천본부 공약 평가 등 내외부의 객관적인 검증 시스템을 통해 주민 참여형 행정을 구현하고 있다.
