<브레이크뉴스 원주= 김일웅기자> 기후에너지환경부 산하 원주지방환경청은 박소영(51) 신임 청장이 오는 22일 공식 취임해 본격적인 업무에 들어간다고 밝혔다.
횡성 출신인 박 청장은 기술고시 39회로, 원주여자고등학교와 강원대학교 환경공학과를 졸업한 뒤 영국 브리스톨대학교에서 환경정책 석사과정을 수료했다. 특히 강원대학교 출신으로는 첫 기술고시 합격자로 알려져 의미를 더하고 있다.
박 청장은 2004년 환경부에서 공직 생활을 시작해 정책기획관, 운영지원과장, 자연생태정책과장, 생물다양성과장 등을 역임했다. 이후 자원순환국, 상하수도정책관실, 온실가스감축추진기획단 등에서 근무하며 정책과 기획 분야 전반에 걸친 폭넓은 업무 경험을 쌓아왔다.
또한 2015년에는 강원도 환경협력관으로 파견 근무한 바 있어, 지역 환경 현안과 행정 여건에 대한 이해도가 높다는 평가를 받고 있다.
박 청장은 “고향인 강원도에서 근무하게 돼 더 큰 사명감과 책임감을 느낀다”며 “그동안 환경 정책과 제도를 만들어 온 경험을 바탕으로 정책이 지역과 현장에서 제대로 전달되고 작동할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
이어 “현장의 목소리에 귀 기울이고 지역사회와 긴밀히 협력해 환경 현안을 해결해 나가며, 지역은 물론 국가 전체에 기여할 수 있도록 역량을 집중하겠다”고 강조했다.
